Chen-Mei is an award-winning architectural, urban and visual designer. She has over 30 years of professional experience in urban design, residential and commercial design, marketing and advertising, graphic design, and illustration. She completed marketing campaigns for municipal governments, private and public schools, and for-profit and non-profit organizations.

Since 1980, she has also worked in advertising design, client relations, new media, graphics design, product design, 2D and 3D mixed-media design, exhibition installation, and marketing. Chen-Mei has appeared in Cox Cable Network­ Interview: ART EXHIBITION­ Palos Verdes, CA., Los Angeles Times­ "Ethnopolis," San Francisco Examiner,  California Apartment Journal,  China Daily News – Asia, Nan Hua Daily News – Asia.  She has won the following awards: "Apartment of the Future" International Award ­First Place­, California Apartment Association­, Los Angeles Pershing Square­ International Urban Design Competition,­ Honorary Mention, American Planning Association­ Social Advocacy Award, Los Angeles.  

Chen-Mei was the co-founder of ETHNOPOLIS, INC, a nonprofit organization that specialized in providing educational programs, workshops, and conferences that highlights urban issues in diverse communities. She is a community service advocate, volunteer and fundraises for homeless shelters and services. Chen-Mei graduated from Southern California Institute of Architecture ( SCIARC ). She is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
