Shawn consults on special projects in the areas of economic development, media, and civic engagement.  In 2013, Shawn established JWA Roam, a digital marketing and media production branch, providing cities with unique storytelling and marketing opportunities. Her diverse background also includes strategic economic growth, community outreach programs, government and community relations, and film and media production. Since 2010, Shawn has been an Executive Officer and Board Member for the Asian American Journalists Association - Los Angeles (AAJA-LA) and is currently the Treasurer for AAJA-National. She also serves as the Finance and Sponsorships Director for V3 Digital Media Conference, the only digital media conference centered on the AAPI community. 

 Shawn holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Urban Studies from University of California, Berkeley and a Master Degree from the Peter Stark Producing Program, University of Southern California. She was awarded honors certificates from the Summer Institute for General Management (SIGM), Stanford University and Pembroke College Creative Writing Program, Cambridge University.
